LETTING THE PAINT LEAD

Not every painting begins with something I need to say. Sometimes it begins with a color, a mark, or the decision to see what happens next.

These works leave room for instinct. Layers change, forms appear and disappear, and the painting is allowed to become something I could not have completely planned from the beginning.
