Archive 001 - The Living Room Was Always Watching

I painted this years after the memories themselves, when I finally understood that the room I remembered wasn't important because of what it looked like—it was important because it taught me to watch before I ever learned how to speak about what I felt. This painting became the beginning of my memoir, and now it becomes the beginning of this Archive.
